„Ein Schiff wird kommen“ but only if we fetch our tickets first

Polyvios and I decided to go to Piraeus to fetch our tickets to Santorin. Next Saturday we have to arrive very early, so we presumably won’t have the time to fetch them then.
Polyvios‘ father had some appointments himself and needed the car, so we had to go by metro. Polyvios didn’t like the Greek metro system. The electric time tables were out of order, you didn’t know when the next would arrive and where it stopped. We boarded the train at Κορωπί and then changed first at Δουκισσις Πλακεντίας and then at Μοναστηράκι. There we took the Line 1 heading Piraeus.

Finding the ticket booths was not that easy. We’ll take to different ferries and therefore we needed to go to two different booths.
Back at Μοναστηράκι Polyvios got his dying wish: Greek Σουφλάκι out of the paper! Last year we ate at Ο Θανάσης one of the well known taverns in Μοναστηράκι. This year I wanted to pay Μπαιρακτάρης a visit. The tavern Andrew Zimmern featured in Bizarre food. The σουβλάκια were very delicious even when I only managed to eat one of them.
