Oscar Wilde stated „Some things are more precious because they don’t last long!“ A quote perfect for our stay in Οία for tomorrow we will be heading back Athens. Time to value every single moment.
Personally, I prefer Οία in the morning. The village is nearly empty, even the brides aren’t still outside seeking the perfect location for their wedding pictures. I have to admit, they are quite annoying. Whenever you want to make a nice picture you hear: „Make space for the bride!“ or „Let the bride go first!“ At some point I felt like „Fuck the fucking bride! She has to wait like I had to!!“
Yesterday we had visited the Black Beach. Today we wanted to pay the Red Beach a visit. Another blessing to the man who rented the car!
It wasn’t easy to reach the red beach. It was located in a small bay surrounded by mountains, so you had to climb down.
The first row of sunbeds was vacant and the woman renting the sunbeds told us why: A few minutes ago the ferry from Crete passed the bay and now we had to await its wave. Polyvios was smirking it would be a joke and I went to change into my bikini. When I came back, my slip-ons were floating towards my like one of Polyvios shoes. I definitely had missed the wave, but Polyvios didn’t.
I still didn’t dare to go deep into the water, because the current was rather strong.
However, Polyvios loved being in the water.
It was very hot that day and when we arrived back in our appartment we were covered in sweat. We took a shower and were back again on the streets of Οία. We happen to come across Οία’s spa: Kissing fish. There I decided I was seriously in need of some Οία wellness treatment.
